About DrupalCamp QLD 2010

DrupalCamp Qld was Queensland's first state-wide Drupal event. It was aimed at developers, designers, coders, businesses, amateurs and anyone with an interest in Drupal. We'd like to thank everyone who attended and made the day a huge success.

The day consisted of 8 Drupal sessions over two tracks. All session were recorded so you can now view the sessions online.

Organisers of DrupalCamp QLD were from the Brisbane Drupal Meet-up:

Jeff and Sheree Hanbury As CEO's of Marmaladesoul, we love Drupal (of course) and would love to see more people in Brisbane and beyond discover the vast potential and world changing power that Drupal provides. The Drupal community has given so much to us and we would love to give back!
Tony Aslett Drupal is a powerful system that allows site owners to extend the core functionality through modules built by others. Having a strong community benefits everyone as we share knowledge and experience.
Chris Hood With much experience in php, I've found that the Drupal API is most excellent developer platform for creating custom web solutions. Brisbane is right on the verge of a Drupal revolution and I'm excited to play a part in organising Drupal Camp QLD.
Sean Bannister As an Online Marketer and Drupal Consultant I've been developing with Drupal for 6 years because it gives us the flexibility to develop not just websites but successful websites. The talent in the Drupal community never ceases to amaze me and it's a pleasure to be contributing to DrupalCamp Queensland. Come for the software, stay for the community.

Special thanks to Josh and Kat from Marmaladesoul, James from Suncorp, and John Zornig from UQ for all their hard work and contributions.

Aegir is a distributed instance management system, that allows authorized users to administer multiple Drupal sites across one or more servers, through a Drupal based administration front end. It is designed to help solve many of the common problems that administrators come across when providing mass hosting solutions, by providing the basis for turn-key deployment and management of Drupal sites and related services.

Ubercart is a great module if you're doing traditional e-commerce such as selling products or file downloads.

This session targets developers and covers building a custom module from scratch to sell other nodes or objects that aren't quite as straight forward.
